Children with ASD and Introduction to Applied Behavioural Analysis

20th June 2017: Working with Children with ASD and an Introduction to Applied Behavioural Analysis.

Attend a one day course on Working with Children with ASD, and an Introduction to Applied Behavioural Analysis, presented by Richard Rose and Excel Social Work and Therapeutic Services. The day will be delivered by Lisa Hamer of Shine Therapy, and Jennifer Cuffe from Excel SWTS. It offers a great chance for professional development, and is certificated on the day as an introduction to the subject. More about Lisa Hamer:

Lisa Hamer is qualified as an Occupational Therapist and worked in the NHS until 2008 when she established Shine Therapy Services. In 2010 she completed training to become an accredited Advanced Practitioner in Sensory Integration, Advanced Practitioner in Therapeutic Listening and Advanced Practitioner in the Assessment and Treatment of Sensory Defensiveness and implementation of the Wilbarger Therapressure Brushing Protocol.

More about Jennifer Cuffe:

Jennifer Cuffe currently works as a Therapeutic Service Coordinator at Excel Social Work and Therapeutic Services. She holds a BA (Hons) degree in Education Studies with Special and Inclusive Needs; and is currently working towards her diploma in Play Therapy and completing her Masters in Applied Behavioural Analysis at Queens University Belfast.

More about Richard Rose:

World renowned expert on child trauma intervention, Richard delivers training on working with ‘hard to reach’ children and Life Story Therapy. He provides supervision to eight Life Story Work teams around the world, including here in the UK. Richard is currently working with Excel Social Work and Therapeutic Services to deliver a diploma in Therapeutic Life Story Work. Training Facilities:

Burnley FC hosts our training at their fantastic training suite, which is easily accessible via road and rail. Plenty of parking is available. Refreshments and lunch is provided.
